Salsa is a popular social dance that originated in New York with strong influences from Latin America, particularly Cuba, Puerto Rico and Colombia. The movements of salsa have its origins in Cuban son, cha cha cha, mambo and other dance forms, and the dance, along with the music, originated in the mid-1970s in New York. In this series we'll focus on the latest Salsa On1 fundamentals, techniques, styling and moves heavily influenced by the Los Angeles, Puerto Rican and Bay Area dance scenes.
